The photos were taken on the next day (22 November 2013) after the collapse of a roof at the supermarket Maxima in Zolitūde district of Riga. At least 48 people were killed making it the Baltic state's deadliest accident since its independence from the Soviet Union in 1991.

i read about this collapse in Peruvian media, but it's a whole different sensation to be there.
May the families of the victims find comfort for their losses.

Such a good story telling with the help of picture. An interesting blog indeed. Great piece of online journalism. This blog is great source of information who think Maxima would not function as soon shown in pictures.
