Kemeri sanatorium
In Soviet times the sanatorium in Ķemeri in Jūrmala, Latvia was a posh place to be. Since the collapse of USSR it has been gradually vandalized and today the place is a popular destination among photographers and urban explorers. Photos by (c) Arnis Balcus
This is sanatorium Līva, that has never been opened. It was totally furnished and ready to open but it was the period when Latvia got free from USSR and this building wasn't taken into expluatation, as it didn't reach new standards cause it was built on a swampy ground.
I like this very much. I spent some weeks in Latvia last year. Do you know the old factory in Rezekne? http://www.flickr.com/photos/96677218@N00/sets/72157624268138777/
