


Glass bottle recycling is like a hidden industry in Latvia, because most people don't use it. You have to bring bottles to a special collection points (stikla taras pieņemšanas punkts) which are not that easy to spot and in addition you get only 0.01 Ls per bottle.

design hasn't changed for decades. such spots in Riga exist mainly for homeless
when I was kid I gathered empty bottles a lot and it was quite easy since my grandfather was alcoholic, but the profit was small - something like 5 lats for a full wheelbarrow, and than you have to split it with your companion.
